Romero Games makes FPS games. Across our team, we have shipped over 100 shooters in total, all in development roles, including the creation of six genre-defining IPs. We lean on a wealth of experience and love for FPS as a genre. It’s in our DNA, and our DNA is in FPS.
We are a mature, independent game studio of over 100 developers founded in 2014 by award-winning game developers Brenda and John Romero. Our current project is an all-new FPS with an original, new IP working with a major publisher.
Romero Games has a long history of inclusivity and respect. This is reflected in our team, our leadership, our culture, our benefits, and our development partners. Many on the team have worked together for nearly a decade, and some have worked together for twice that. We genuinely like working with one another, and look forward to welcoming you.

Values
Be different. We want to be the company that we wish we’d always worked for, one that understands that happy, fulfilled people make good games, and that happiness comes from our homes, our lives and our work.
Be diverse and inclusive. We welcome and celebrate the full range of lived experience and believe it makes our games and our teams better. Games are their players, and their developers should reflect them.
Be creative. We look for the concepts that have yet to be uncovered and outposts that have not been explored. We craft unique visual identities with compelling gameplay.
Be innovative. We challenge boundaries by being diverse, inclusive, and accessible in our games and our teams, and looking for ideas in places that others overlook.
Be excited: We have fun developing games together, and we believe that same sense of fun and wonder finds its way into the experiences we make for players.
Be respectful. Our culture is one of mutual respect. We’ve worked together for a long time and the key to our longevity as a team and a company is the respect we have for one another.
Be gamers. Everyone in Romero Games is exceedingly talented. We could excel at anything. Yet, every last one of us is here because we wanted to make games more than anything else.
